Erasmus Mundus

The Erasmus Mundus programme is a co-operation and mobility programme in the field of higher education which promotes the European Union as a center of excellence in learning around the world. It supports European top-quality Masters Courses and Joint Doctorates, and enhances the visibility and attractiveness of European higher education in third countries. It also provides EU-funded scholarships for third country nationals participating in these Masters Courses and Joint Doctorates, as well as scholarships for EU-nationals studying at Partner universities throughout the world.

There are two types of scholarships offered by Erasmus Mundus:

Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses (Action 1A) and Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates (Action 1B)

Students who attend these joint study programmes usually spend a semester at each participating institution in different countries and after graduation they receive a joint degree from all institutions. There are scholarships available both for third-country nationals and EU residents who want to study at these courses. Application deadlines are usually in November-December for the next year.
