Incoming CEEPUS candidates can opt for blended mobility in the summer semester of 2020/2021

Because of the outbreak of the COVID-19, CEEPUS candidates who are coming to Serbia to undertake an exchange or teach at a Serbian higher education can now opt for the so-called blended mobility. Blended mobility entails that a part of mobility is conducted virtually, and the rest physically. Incoming CEEPUS candidates will be financially compensated for the virtual section of mobility, although at different rates than for the physical part of mobility. Mobility conducted entirely online cannot be financially supported.

Student mobility must last at least 30 days in total: at least 15 days of virtual mobility and at least 15 days of physical mobility. Teacher mobility must last at least 20 days, in the following ratio: at least 15 days of virtual mobility and at least 5 days of physical mobility. Scholarship rates for both mobility types can be found on the website of the National CEEPUS Office in Serbia.

The host institution in Serbia needs to approve the virtual part of mobility. If a candidate has already submitted the application and wants to conduct his/her mobility in a blended form, he/she must contact the mentor/local CEEPUS coordinator at the host institution and discuss the change in mobility. Also, a candidate needs to inform the National CEEPUS Office in Serbia via email about the change, at least one month before the designated start of the mobility.

Candidates are encouraged to start mobility in a virtual and end it in a physical form. More information on the topic is available on the webpage of the CEEPUS office in Serbia.

CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) is a student and academic staff exchange program that is carried out in 15 Central-European countries. CEEPUS offers exchanges in the form of credit mobility, research visits, teaching provision, and summer schools.
