University of Kragujevac ranked among world’s top 600

The University of Kragujevac was ranked between 501st and 600th on the latest annual Times Higher Education Global ranking list. According to the list, it is the best-placed Serbian university for the second consecutive year, followed by the University of Belgrade (ranked between 801st and 1000th) and the University of Novi Sad (ranked 1501+). This year’s Times Higher Education ranking covers around 1800 universities from over 100 countries.

The University of Oxford tops the ranking for the seventh consecutive year. Harvard University remains in the 2nd place, however, the University of Cambridge jumped from the 5th last year to the 3rd.

The overall world ranking list is accompanied by 11 subject-specific rankings, one of them being in the Clinical & Health area, which ranks the University of Kragujevac among the world’s 250 best universities.

Times Higher Education has been assessing university performance on the global stage since 2004 in the three main areas of university activity: research, impact and teaching. Its table is based on 13 calibrated performance indicators that measure a higher education institution’s performance across areas of teaching (the learning environment), research (volume, income and reputation), citations (research influence), industry income (knowledge transfer) and international outlook (staff, students, and research).
